Week one of my holiday is done and we're into week two. Trip to Edmonton was great. First time we've ever gone on a trip for that many days/nights (that I can think of). It brought back a flood of memories from all the family vacations I went on as a child. I'm glad we're creating new memories for ourselves and our kids. Totally had a great time. Got to see, and hang out with, a few friends; made it to West Edmonton Mall...twice; managed to squeeze in some much needed/deserved water sliding action; completely missed the snow that Calgary had while we were gone (we left before it came and everything melted before we returned). I won't lie, I kinda miss work. I'm a freak that way.
Notice the Christmas decor in the picture? The entire mall (West Ed) was/is decorated with trees and gifts and garland and wreaths. The movie Christmas in Wonderland was/is being filmed there. Had a chance to see (from a distance) Chris Kattan and Preston Lacy.
